    $2,000 scholarship

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Garden Club has awarded its 2014 Garden Club Scholarship to Leigh Bolduc, who plans to attend Vermont Technical College in Randolph.

Bolduc will be enrolled in the college’s landscaping program.

Each year, the garden club awards one $2,000 scholarship to an individual who is going on to higher education in the field of horticulture, landscaping and other fields that are related to the club’s mission of gardening, beautification and conservation.

The scholarship is made possible because of the club’s annual Festival of Trees that funds civic beautification and other programs that the club supports.
