SHAFTSBURY — Vermont State Police are investigating a “suspicious” incident in which an unidentified man knocked on a 9-year-old girl's bedroom window Sunday night and invited her to come out and play.

Police said the girl was watching television at around 9 p.m. Sunday in her home on Cleveland Avenue. The girl screamed when she saw the man and he fled, police said.

The man is described as having a medium build with “short buzz-style dirty blond hair” and no facial hair.

He was wearing large plastic-rimmed glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Brian Turner at 442-5421.
