WSYB morning radio host Brian Collamore signed off from his show today saying he was stepping aside to run for state Senate.

Collamore said he will run as a Republican, but characterized himself as a moderate who wants to "work across the aisle" as much as possible.

Collamore has been on the air with Rutland-area radio stations for 42 years and has hosted his current morning show since 1995. He said he will continue in his role as the station's sales manager, but felt compelled to leave his show due to FCC requirements.
