GREER, S.C. — St. Johnsbury native Trevor Murphy posted an 8-under par 64 Friday and is co-leading the Web.com Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am.

Murphy, a former North Carolina-Charlottegolfer who has finished in the top 10 in each of his two tour starts this season, put up his score at Green Valley.

The three-time Vermont Amateur champion, now of Scottsdale, Ariz., is tied with Kyle Reifers, the 2006 Chattanooga Classic winner.

Murphy, who has had several PGA Tour appearances, including making the cut at the 2009 U.S. Open, is currently 48th on the Web.com moneylist with $33,250 in earnings.
