    Where have the

    good jobs gone?

Looking at Vermont’s population demographics, are the “good jobs” leaving with the population of the state?

It’s been predicted by Art Woolf, associate professor of economics at UVM, that by 2030, the state will have the same population it had in 2010. The good news is that it could therefore be contended, though not convincingly, the state’s education costs should drop to 2010 levels.

The good jobs have obviously gone to the states giving the best incentives. Though, even if Vermont were to match those incentives, would a business want to relocate to a state that’s losing its potential workforce?
