BRANDON - A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday and close to 400 bags of heroin were seized during raid at a home on Carver Street, according to Brandon Police.
At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at 43 Carver St. where four people, 380 bags of heroin and 32 bags of crack cocaine were found. Police say the street value of the heroin was $7,600 while the crack would have sold for about $1,600.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jamie Trinci, who lives at the address, was arrested along with Duvall W. Fludd, 21, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Fludd, who police say uses the street name "BL" was jailed on $250,000 bail due to his lack of community ties, lack of employment and "substantial" criminal history in New York.
Trinci, who police say has only a minor criminal record, was released on a citation. She will appear in Rutland criminal court on March 17 to answer to a charge of possessing heroin.
Fludd will be arraigned today on a felony cocaine possession charge and heroin trafficking.
The other two people found in the residence were released and not charged, police say. Brandon Police also notified the Department for Children and Families because there was a 7-year-old living at the residence.
Police say they moved quickly to obtain a search warrant at the address after they received information that heroin was being sold from the residence.
