• Driver gets stuck on train tracks trying to turn around

    HARTLAND - A driver got stuck on a set of railroad tracks and disrupted train service Saturday night, police said.

    According to state police, at approximately 6:50 p.m., a driver became stuck on the railroad tracks near the intersection of Deport St. and Ferry Road while attempting to turn around.

    The incident forced New England Central Railroad to halt train traffic in the area while a tow truck removed the car from the tracks. There was no damage to the car and there were no injuries, police said.
