ST. ALBANS — Vermont police say a St. Albans man pointed a gun at a couple while he was driving while intoxicated.

The couple told police 36-year-old Jason Gagne cut in front of them Sunday afternoon. They say he then was tailgating them before pulling alongside, harassing them and pointing a gun at them.

Gagne was charged with reckless endangerment, assault and driving under the influence, fourth offense. Police say a Marlin 30.30 rifle was found in his car.

He is due back in court on January 13.
