CORNWALL — Two people were taken to the hospital for what Vermont State Police described as minor injuries following a crash on Route 30 Monday afternoon.

Police say 83-year-old Pauline Maguire, of Shoreham, fell asleep at the wheel of a 2014 Subaru Forester at about 2:34 p.m. Monday. The car, which was traveling in the northbound lane, veered off the road and struck a utility pole.

Maguire, and 89-year-old Robert Maguire, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were taken to Porter Hospital for evaluation after the crash.
