• Woman jailed for domestic assault

    READING — A local woman jailed for domestic assault Saturday night is expected in court today.

    Thursday night, state police responded to Reading Farm Road after 20-year-old Emma Harley allegedly assaulted a family member.

    Police could not locate Harley until Saturday, when they took her into custody. Harley was held in Springfield prison on $2,500 bail. She remained in custody as of Sunday afternoon, according to the Department of Corrections.

    Harley is expected to answer the domestic assault charge today in Windsor criminal court.
