In response to the most recent article concerning Omya’s offer of the marble office building to the town of Proctor, the story might have inadvertently left the impression that architect Thomas Keefe performed a “hastily prepared” overview of the property when in fact, the board was impressed with the level of detail provided in his assessment. I believe the assessment was high due to the cost of renovating and preserving a 103-year-old historic building. The board appreciates the service provided by Mr. Keefe.
