    Lowell Mountain?

EDEN — Officials here are asking residents their opinions about a proposal to build a six-turbine wind power installation down the Lowell Mountain ridgeline from an existing project owned by Green Mountain Power.

In August, the Eden Select Board was notified that a Connecticut company, BNE Energy Inc., wanted to install the turbines in an area known as Bigelow Basin.

BNE has a wind test tower on the ridgeline.

Among the questions being asked is whether residents had changed their minds about wind projects, now that the Lowell wind turbines are up and running.

The Caledonian Record reported that BNE wants to sell the proposed turbines’ power in Connecticut.
