READSBORO ó A Vermont man in an ongoing feud with his neighbor has been accused of leaving him a phone message in which he pretended to be a state trooper.

State police listened to the voice message left for 64-year-old Joseph Mangiacotti in Readsboro. They determined the caller was not a trooper.

They later traced it to 30-year-old Justin Gamache, his neighbor.

Gamache was arrested last week on a charge of impersonating a police officer.
