    arena seeks funds

WOODSTOCK ó A sports complex that faces an uncertain future is seeking $125,000 to keep running.

The Woodstock Union Arena is owned by the local high school.

Vermont Public Radio reports the arena has been running in the red for years. The arenaís board of directors has proposed dipping into the $450,000 endowment.

But the endowmentís trustees and the School Board did not agree that was the best solution. They encouraged discussion about other possibilities.

The School Boardís new arena subcommittee will meet soon with the facilityís management to work on a solution.
