    Dorothy M. Leary

    MANCHESTER CENTER — Dorothy M. Leary, 79, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at her home.

    She was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Bennington, the daughter of Louis W. and Delia (Therriault) Leary.

    She attended local schools.

    She worked at Mack Molding for 35 years, the last 10 as a quality-control auditor.

    She was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1956.

    She was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

    She enjoyed reading, eating out and animals.

    Survivors include a nephew Ronald Dufresne of Crystal River, Fla., and a niece Diane Leedy of Glendale, Ariz. She was preceded in death by a sister Leona Dufresne, two brothers William Carl Leary and Donald Leary, and a nephew.

    Friends may call Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brewster & Shea Funeral Service. A committal service will follow in St. Jerome’s Cemetery in East Dorset.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, c/o Brewster and Shea Funeral Service, P.O. Box 957, Manchester Center, VT 05255.
