    ROCHESTER — Carolyn H. Nordin, 78, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, N.H.

    She was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Moore Hole, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of William and Kathleen (Mathews) Hague. She was raised in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, and had lived in Harpington, UK, then Toronto, Canada; Chicago, Detroit, Antwerp, Belgium, London and Saudi Arabia, before moving to Rochester in 1993.

    She was married to Erik Nordin in Chicago in 1957, and was a member of the Boston Chapter of the Daughters of the British Empire.

    She enjoyed painting, club activities, and had been involved in amateur theatrical performances in earlier years.

    Survivors include her husband, Erik Nordin of Rochester; two sons, Brandon Nordin of Sandwich, Mass., and Lars Nordin of Worcester, Mass.; a daughter, Nicolette Heavey of Andover, Mass.; three grandchildren; a brother, Andrew Hague of Exeter, England; three sisters, Patricia Ramsay of London, Lyn Read of Bath, England, and Jillian Wombwell of Lesminister, England.

    Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rochester Federated Church, with burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery.

    There are no calling hours.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 300 Cornerstone Drive #128, Williston, VT 05495.

    Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
