Lucy Brodowski, 84, of Rutland, passed away Saturday morning, June 29, 2013, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Norwich, Connecticut, November 1, 1928, the daughter of Peter and Felicity (Oloff) Zinewicz. Lucy was married to Augustus “Gus” Brodowski for 58 years before his death in 2009. Lucy and Gus moved to Rutland in 1953 where they lived ever since.
Lucy enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, walking on the beach, casinos, bingo and spending time with her furry friends, Buster, Olive, Crystal and Lexi.
She was a kind, gentle person.
Lucy is survived by two daughters, Susan and husband Bruce, Judy and partner Mark; two sons, Richard and partner Jan, Philip and wife Eileen; a sister, Jennie Blazejak; several grandchildren, Ethan, Justin, Sam, Katy, Paul, Arienne, John and Abby; and one great-great-grandchild, Sigourney.
She was predeceased by her husband, Augustus; a sister, Mary; brothers, Peter, Chester and John.
There are no visiting hours.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King Church in Rutland. Officiating will be Rev. Justin Baker, pastor. A reception will follow.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
