Death Race over; no winner announcedJune 24,2013PITTSFIELD - The Spartan Death Race is over.
More than 400 competitors took part in the multiday ordeal, which kicked off Friday morning and kept racers running, crawling and carrying absurdly heavy objects for 72 hours.
Race organizers have not yet released results of the race, but in the past, very few competitors successfully complete the event.
Look to Tuesday’s edition of the Rutland Herald for racers’ story of triumph and tragedy.
