BRISTOL — Vermont State Police arrested a 19-year-old Bristol man and charged him with stealing a motorcycle in a burglary last week.
Police said someone entered an unlocked garage on Route 116 in Bristol after 9 p.m. June 13 and stole a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle owned by Robert Robidoux, 49.
The next day, a neighbor saw a man later identified as Jeff Tanner, 19, pushing the motorcycle down Route 116, police said. Tanner was confronted by local residents and held until state police arrived.
Tanner was charged with burglary, grand larceny and violation of conditions of release, police said. He was jailed for lack of $2,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in Middlebury criminal court Monday.
