• Driver hits cow on Vt. road

    BRIDPORT A driver has been hospitalized in critical condition after crashing into a cow on a Vermont road.

    Police say 21-year-old Anthony Care of Bernville, Pa., was driving north on Route 22A in Bridport shortly after midnight Monday when he hit a cow that was in the road. Police said the car was badly damaged.

    Care is hospitalized at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
