A Connecticut man has won the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon, while a New Hampshire woman has repeated as the women's champion.

Chris Zablocki, of Essex, Conn., won Sunday's 26.2-mile race in Burlington in 2 hours, 18 minutes, 25 seconds. He defeated defending champion Matt Pelletier by about 36 seconds in posting the third fastest time in the marathon's 25-year history.

The Burlington Free Press reported that Heidi Westover of Walpole, N.H., was the fastest woman in 2:42:01, earning her the title for the sixth time.

This year's race drew about 3,200 full-course runners, plus about 4,800 relay runners.
