CLEMONS, N.Y. — Reta Irene Parrott, 90, of Clemons, N.Y., and a former resident of Poultney, VT, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
She was born on July 3, 1922, in Poultney, the daughter of Jacob and Anna Kovalosky.
Reta loved to do word puzzles, travel, help friends and family, and was very active in community affairs in her younger years. She had a great affection for all animals, loved spending time with her family, and had a deep faith in everything she did throughout her long life. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She retired from General Electric in Fort Edward, New York.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Barber of Clemons, N.Y.; her four sisters, Ann Parrott and her husband James of Poultney, VT, Katherine Matte of Whitehall, N.Y., Theresa Hayes of Poultney, VT, and Agnes Kovalosky of Poultney, VT; four grandchildren, John Barber Jr. and his wife Julie of Clemons, N.Y., Alyssa Dawkins and her husband David of Glens Falls, N.Y., Paul Davis of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Bonnie Ellis of Glens Falls, N.Y.; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Parrott Jr., and daughter, Bonnie Davis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church in Poultney, VT.
Burial will be in the Poultney Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Durfee Funeral Home.
