SWANTON — Vermont State Police say a 26-year-old Swanton man is facing a variety of charges after what is being described as a domestic assault in which several shots were fired.

Police say 26-year-old Corey James Warden, of Swanton, was arrested following the incident, reported about 3 a.m. Sunday.

The altercation took place inside a residence and then spilled out into the street where five shots with a handgun were fired. A family member was injured during the incident, although it was not a gunshot injury.

Warden is facing charges of domestic assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
