Queen named at Apple Blossom CotillionStaff Report | May 05,2013SPRINGFIELD — Shelby Reardon was chosen Saturday night as the 57th queen of the Apple Blossom Cotillion.
Reardon, escorted by Archie Farmer III, was the judges’ choice after 15 contending couples performed to country music favorites.
This year’s event was called “Cotillion Gone Country.”
Also attending Saturday night at Dressel Gymnasium at Riverside Middle School were the “future cotillionaires,” 42 elementary-school children who performed with the high school couples.
The cotillion is a fundraising event for Springfield Hospital, and it pays for scholarships and educational programs.
A full story about the cotillion will appear in Monday’s Rutland Herald.
