SHARON — Extension ladders that somehow ended up in the middle of the Interstate 89 northbound lane Friday afternoon damaged two vehicles but caused no injuries, according to Vermont State Police.
Police were called to a section of the divided highway near mile marker 15 just before 5:30 p.m. after two vehicles struck the ladders.
Police didn’t say how the items came to be in the roadway, but indicated it may have been unintentional.
While the damage to the two cars was minimal, police said reminded motorists that failing to properly secure items while driving on public highways could result in a ticket and fine of up to $1,191.MORE IN This Just In
