Man charged with
assaulting girl, 14
POWNAL — A Bennington man was charged with aggravated assault against a 14-year-old girl, according to Vermont State Police.
David Hollister, 38, was charged after an incident Friday evening on Niles School Road in Pownal, state police said.
The alleged victim was identified only as a female Pownal resident, age 14.
Police said Hollister put his hands around the girl’s neck and slapped her three times after a verbal dispute.
The girl was not seriously injured, police said.
