Traffic stop results

in a DUI-4 charge

CORNWALL — A local resident has been charged with drunken driving for the fourth time following a traffic stop Monday night.

Police said Traci G. Payne, 42, of Cornwall, was driving on Swamp Road when police stopped the vehicle for defective equipment. Police said the driver was under the influence of alcohol and took Payne into custody.

Payne is scheduled to appear April 8 in Addison criminal court.
