BERLIN — Sen. Kevin Mullin, R-Rutland was unhurt after crashing his car on Interstate 89 in Berlin, police said Wednesday.

Vermont State Police said Mullin was driving south around 5 p.m. Tuesday when his 2008 Hyundai hydroplaned and he lost control, striking the guardrail. He was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

It was raining at the time of the crash and the road was wet with standing water in spots, police said.
