Plymouth passes reduced town budget, school budget and special article

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth voters reduced their town budget by $68,000, passed the school budget and approved a special article by one vote on Monday at town meeting, according to the town officials.
The amended town budget is $1,017,863, $53,021, or a 4.95 percent decrease from this year’s 1,070,884 budget. The proposed $771,104 town school budget was also approved and it represented a $83,071, or 12.1 percent increase from this year’s $688,033 budget.
A special article asked voters to raise $10,000 for a Plymouth Elementary School community activities coordinator. The article passed, 25-24.
There were no contested elections in Plymouth.
