    Tweets, texting or shouting do not provide the thoughtful considerations we need to address issues and topics - whether major of minor. Angry media hype increases social division rather than build community.
    That is why I value well crafted editorials and commentaries. “Diminishing fear” addressed the need to reduce our world record number of deaths and injuries from the use of guns. The Herald's editorial title, “Diminishing fear”, is relevant to overcome so many challenges we face. For power and monetary gain, those who promote fear build walls to divide us.
