Unlocked door yields $20K theft
February 26,2013
SALISBURY — Police said an unlocked door was an open invitation for a burglar to make off with $20,000 in property Friday afternoon.
Around 3:45 p.m., state police responded to a burglary complaint at a residence on Plains Road. Police said the occupant had left the door unlocked and are reminding the public to lock their doors, whether leaving for a few minutes or for the day.
Anyone with information is asked to call State Police Trooper Andrew Leise at 388-4919.
