Basketball coach leaves legacy
I read Tom Haley’s article on Jim Graffam’s historical contribution to local college basketball. Several thoughts came to mind. First, times have changed. Recruiting in this day and age is far different than even a decade ago. Second, name another local basketball coach in any time, in addition to Coach Bartlett (who is currently a very successful coach at CSJ), who has in his career coached five players who are now local basketball coaches: Kyle Wilson, Greg Hughes, Jake Eaton, Don Dunchus, and Joel Leichtnam. To me, that speaks volumes about a successful legacy of coaching. History is instructive, but we live in the here and now.
