I just finished reading letters to the editor in Thursday’s Rutland Herald. The title was “An American scourge.” Again we are placing the blame on a weapon. The label placed on these guns make it no more dangerous than the much loved Winchester Model 94 mentioned. It does not matter what type of gun a criminal mind uses in any of these mass shootings. It is the fact that all the victims are defenseless. The model 94 mentioned is just as capable as any assault weapon. I also noticed the model 94 was called a weapon. Look up the definition of the word weapon. Just maybe the Model 94 will be next in this weapons ban.
