Man suffers injuries in crash
SHAFTSBURY — A 77-year-old man has suffered leg and rib injuries after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a tree in Shaftsbury.
Vermont State Police say Ernest Palencsar of Bennington lost control of his Honda CRV and drove it off the road at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. It rolled down an embankment and hit a tree.
Palencsar, who had to be removed from his vehicle by the Shaftsbury Fire Department, was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for treatment.
