    Thankful for

    library support

Where else in Londonderry can you find everything from designer clothing and household goods to toys for the baby? The wonderful ladies at the Thrifty Attic sort through thousands and thousands of articles that are donated yearly by the community. With Sally Waite at the helm, Marion Laselle, Andrea Ogden, Wendy Arace, Betty Forbes, Pat Slade and Edith Hussey manage, sort, clean, discard and run the Thrifty with efficiency and expertise.

The South Londonderry Free Library would like to thank all of these hard-working gals for everything that they do and have done throughout the years. Because of their dedication, they are able to give grants to many worthwhile organizations that would be so much the poorer without the Thrifty’s funding.

Most grant opportunities will not fund capital expenditures but the Thrifty does and has enabled the library to make much needed upkeep and repairs to our 100-year-old and then some, House of Books.

We sincerely thank all the members of the Thrifty Attic for their very generous grant to the South Londonderry Free Library.
