    MANCHESTER CENTER Rosa L. Campney, 85, died Jan. 2, 2013, at the Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, surrounded by loved ones.

    She was born Feb. 9, 1927, in West Pawlet, the daughter of Lorenzo and Natalie Woodard Jackson.

    She attended West Pawlet Grade School and Granville High School.

    She married Burton H. Campney Sr. in Bennington on Oct. 31, 1947.

    She worked for many years at JK Adams and Manchester Wood as a furniture assembler.

    She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

    Survivors include four children: Burton H. Campney Jr. of Manchester, Mary Lou Bowen of East Dorset, Terry L. Campney of Dorset, and Christie Campney-Bristol of Maumelle, Ark.; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Goodspeed of Rutland, and Katherine McFarland of Salem, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.

    She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Burton; and 15 brothers and sisters.

    There will be no funeral services or calling hours.
