Why are the taxpayers having to pay for rescuing skiers who deliberately ski out of bounds? Is the state of Vermont so afraid of these people that they wonít use a law that is on the books?
These people need to pay for this out of their pockets, not the taxpayers. If the worry is that they wonít call for help, let the ski area worry about it and let the state employees take care of crime.
Maybe natural selection should take its course.
