NEWBURY — Vermont State Police say a 51-year-old Bradford woman has been charged in the Christmas evening shooting death of 43-year-old Dale Rock of Newbury.

Police say Anne-Marie Whiteway will face a charge of second-degree murder in Rock’s death. Police got a call shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday about a shooting at Rock’s home in Newbury.

By Wednesday morning, they said they were interviewing a person of interest and they announced the arrest and charge Wednesday afternoon.

State Police say Whiteway will be held without bail overnight and arraigned today in criminal court in White River Junction.
