The Gold Trout is a new gift boutique in Manchester.
If you are looking for custom stationery, a special present or a perfect little hostess gift, check out The Gold Trout in Manchester. Located in the historic Depot Street district, this new boutique is run by owners MaryBeth O’Donnell and Holly Mirenda.
O’Donnell and Mirenda are friends and share much in common, both being busy moms of young children, but bring different strengths and experience to the business. Mirenda has a background in graphic design, which she put to use for custom stationery products such as invitations, holiday cards, note cards, and business cards. The shop carries all the major brands of stationery; Mirenda walso will create custom-made items.
Having run gift boutiques for the Junior League in Scarsdale, NY, O’Donnell has experience sourcing and buying unique gift items. “I have done a lot of research and have found lots of independent artisans able to deliver exactly what the customer wants, without our having to over-purchase minimums” said O’Donnell.
Gift items include jewelry, candles, pillows, trays, baby gifts, picture frames and several items that can be personalized. Some of the more unique personalized items include monogrammed sneakers, monogrammed yoga mats and melamine plates featuring a child’s name. The Gold Trout also carries jewelry made by O’Donnell’s 16-year-old niece, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Heifer International, a global nonprofit organization.
The Gold Trout is located at 145 Elm Street, Manchester Depot, VT 05255. The telephone number is 802.366.0152. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and noon to 4:00 p.m. Saturday. The Web site is www.facebook.com/TheGoldTrout.
