I was very disappointed when Annie’s Book Stop closed. However, it gave me the initiative needed to check out the book sales at the Rutland Free Library. I went for the first time recently and was amazed to find a cellar full of books, organized by category and author. I was like a “kid in a candy shop.”

Several people told me it was also their first time at the sale. I brought a shopping bag and left with it full. The sales are well advertised and you can’t beat the prices. The most expensive book I had selected was $1, and some were less. Thanks to all involved in such a great book sale.
