We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rutland community for its participation in this year’s Green Mountain Power Fill the Cupboard Challenge food drive. Due to the contributions of nearly 70 local businesses, school and community groups, nonprofit organizations and individuals, the Challenge generated more than 26,000 food items for the Rutland Community Cupboard. These donations have helped to replenish food supplies after a busy summer and ensure a full cupboard through the holiday season.

The Rutland South Rotary topped the Challenge with a collection of over 2,800 food items. GMP will be awarding the Cupboard $500 in the name of the Rutland South Rotary for its efforts and $6,250 to The Community Cupboard, which represents 25 cents per food item collected.

Thank you, Green Mountain Power Co.

    MICHAEL R. DICK

    (President,

    The Community Cupboard)
