Work for nation's betterment
The Republicans lost the Oval Office. Again.
The Republicans lost the Senate, and probably a few seats in the House. Again.
So, what do losers do when they confront winners? Take revenge, of course. Although there seems to be some cracks beginning in the Republicans’ Fiscal Cliff stonewalling, John Boehner and his ilk are determined to block any compromise of taxing the very wealthy, despite what Steve Forbes and Warren Buffet have said. Moreover, John McCain and his henchmen are adamant about blocking Susan Rice’s nomination to be the next secretary of state, even though last year McCain said that the president should be able to nominate anyone he chooses.
It is fitting that these people read their Bibles. Scripture has it that “ … vengeance is mine, I shall repay, saith the Lord,” (Romans 12:19). Yet, these Republicans are seeking their own vengeance. Are they like God? Do they presume to be so? If this is the case, they had better rethink their positions, forsake their vengeful practices and work for the betterment of the nation, else their avenging traits will only damage our country and grant them a rude awakening when they bid this life farewell.
