Entries sought for Vt. youth hunting contest

WATERBURY — The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is looking for entries for the sixth annual Young Hunting Memories Contest.
Young hunters are encouraged to submit a short essay or artwork describing their time in the field on a hunt. Bagged game is not a requirement.
Entries will be categorized by age — 9 years and under, 10 to 12 years old, and 13 to 16 years old.
Entries must be received by Jan. 4, 2013.
Winners will be announced on April 20 at the inaugural Youth Hunting Awareness Day at Kehoe Conservation Camp in Castleton.
