Lothrop’s Holiday Craft Fair on Nov. 17 was bigger this year with two floors of vendors for our shoppers. I would like to thank the many vendors who came out to show their crafts. Even though there were times when business may have been slower for some, it was great to show your passion and crafts to a new market.

I would also like to thank the vendors and teachers, staff, students and families of Lothrop School for putting together such amazing baskets for the Basket Raffle to benefit Pittsford Christmas for Kids. The Basket Raffle was a huge success again this year. I would like to thank my daughter, Heather, for working at the Basket Raffle table all day during the Craft Fair.

Thanks go out to Stan O’Neil for his support in setting up and cleaning up the Craft Fair (along with Ronny and Louise Davis and David and Heather Johnson). Stan also did an amazing job with the luncheon (making and serving soup and chili). Stan also gave the profits to Pittsford Christmas for Kids. Also, thank you to my son, David, for helping Stan by working in the kitchen all day.

I would like to thank Randy Adams for allowing Pittsford Recreation to sponsor the Craft Fair once again this year. Also, thanks to Randy for locating and delivering so many tables for us to use this year. A thank-you also goes out to Kelly Connaughton for creating the flier and doing the advertising.

A big thank-you to my whole family for supporting me and all the craziness that surrounds putting together an event of this size. The biggest show of gratitude and thanks goes out to Louise Davis for helping organize the Craft Fair, shopping for supplies and sitting in the cold at Lothrop’s Thanksgiving Dinner to sell Basket Raffle tickets.

With the support of everyone through the Basket Raffle, luncheon and the sale of Craft Fair tables, we were able to make a donation of $1,140.75 to Pittsford Christmas for Kids. Thank you all so much. Together, we all can make a difference.
