I invite you to help me keep our city inviting and welcoming. This is both good for us and the thousands of visitors who come and spend their dollars and tell others about our city.

Our appearance is so vitally important if we are to attract commerce, jobs and tourism. We have an architecturally beautiful historic city. Please help by picking up litter from our streets and public areas and around your neighborhoods.

When you see a stop sign or street sign damaged or missing, grocery carts left on sidewalks or in the streets, call and report it to Rutland Department of Public Works: 773-1800, ext. 7.

Should you notice trash, discarded furniture or strange behavior at vacant properties, call and report it to Building & Zoning: 773-1800, ext. 8.

Should you observe suspicious activity or suspect drug activity in your neighborhood, call and report it to city police dispatcher: 773-1816.

And, keep our city bright and safe when street lights are burned out; take down the pole number, and call to report to Green Mountain Power: (800) 649-2877.

Thank you for being neighbors who are caring citizens of our crossroads city, connected naturally.

I am so proud to represent Rutland in the Statehouse. Thanks for showing your pride in the Marble City.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

    (State Representative)
