The upcoming presidential election has drawn much attention, but please don’t forget the local elections. One candidate you should pay close attention to is Doug Gage. Doug has lived and worked in Rutland City for 30 years. He has raised a family here and has always been there to help his neighbor. He currently serves on the city School Board and volunteers at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.

This experience provides Doug with a great foundation and insight to the needs of Rutland City. Doug will work hard for his community to support more business and jobs to this area, working hard to fight drugs and crime while being mindful of taxpayers’ budgets.

Doug is currently visiting each of his district neighbors to discuss his ideas and hear their concerns and thoughts. Please invite him in and listen. I have known Doug for more than 30 years and can assure you that he will work hard for the Rutland community.

Although I am not a resident of Rutland City I encourage you to vote for Doug Gage for Vermont House on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Calvary Church polling place.

    MARSHA TODD
