Great day at the park

I am writing to praise the Calvary Bible Church for the stellar Family Fun Day event that they held recently in Main St. Park. The free and open event included games, puppet shows, theater, live music, a kids' bounce house, face painting, cotton candy, snow cones and more. Also, the Rutland City Police Department should be recognized for providing their popular police dog demonstrations to the crowd of kids and families in attendance, and the Rutland Recreation and Parks Department should be recognized for providing a perfect venue.
For the second year in a row Pastor David Lind, key organizer Wendy Preedom and the impressive number of church volunteers should all be congratulated for taking the initiative to provide a well-orchestrated free day of family fun focused primarily on the kids of our community and our visitors. Let's hope they do it every year.
