Board meets late into the night
Staff Report | August 07,2012
Rutland City aldermen were meeting late into the night Monday debating the issues of chloramine and the city water supply.
Public Works Commissioner Evan Pilachowski has said that the use of chloramine as a disinfectant is the city’s best option to come into compliance with federal regulations. However, he also said that he supports placing a bond for a proposed alternative technology on the November ballot.
The aldermen had made no decision by press time.
